Texas Hold 'Em Fundraiser
The Cuero Chamber of Commerce Agriculture & Visitors Center began the Texas Hold’em Fundraiser in 2009 to help raise money for the Chamber’s economic and community development programs throughout the year. Last year the event captured 300-350 attendees.
The event was such a success that we’ve made it an annual event and have added new and exciting table games, a live/silent auction, a gun raffle with amazing guns, and a meal that will satisfy your taste buds. You don’t have to be an avid player to enjoy the event. Come out and enjoy fellowship, laughs, good food with great friends.
2013 Fundraiser Details
The Fundraiser is held in Historic Downtown Cuero at The Venue on Church Street, the last Saturday August 24 beginning at 1 PM. 200 spots are available for the Main Event, and tickets can be purchased from any Chamber Board Member or at the Chamber of Commerce Office located at 124 E. Annual Wine Run
In keeping the spirit of the Texas Hold'em Fundraiser, the Cuero Chamber of Commerce teamed up with the Cuero's retail merchants to continue our Annual Wine Run for the second year.
Here's how it works:
Each participant will check in at the Venue on Church Street and enjoy lunch 11:30 a.m before departing. You will each receive your custom wine glass and playing card to take on your 'Wine, Dine, & Shop' adventure. You also will receive a map of the 'Wine, Dine, & Shop Stops'.
The shuttle will leave The Venue on Church Street promptly at 1:00 p.m. At each stop, you will get your card stamped by each store representative and enjoy wine tasting, goodies, and GREAT shopping. At the end of the run, all the participants will be shuttled back to The Venue on Church Street. Those who complete the run and get all their 'stop stamps' will be entered to win a custom gift basket valued at $350 from the Cuero Retail Merchants.
