    Sister City Quest: Cuero, Texas



    A delegation came to Cuero Feb. 26 & 27, 2002, to sign an official document establishing a Sister City relationship with Miguel Aleman, Tamaulipas, Mexico (population 20,000). Economic benefits include: warehousing/distribution; craftsmen for Cuero's local industries; permanent craftsmen's guild; ecological tourism--Miguel Aleman located on one of the major aviary and butterfly flyways; meet humanitarian needs, cultural and educational exchange.     Delegation from Vimmerby, Sweden visited Cuero in March, 2002 to investigate the feasibility of manufacturing/warehousing here, tourism, and cultural exchanges. Their website is http://www.turism.vimmerby.se/Eng/esid2.shtml.
