Thursday October 1st, grab some popcorn and a seat in your favorite chair, and join us for a Movie Night – Virtual Discussion with the staff of the Chisholm Trail Heritage Museum. While we can’t all be together, we can share discussion on major motion pictures that deal with the history of the American West and capture the spirit of the frontier.
To kick off this series we will first be looking at the film Tombstone, and examining the questions of what law and order on the American frontier looked like in the late 19th century.
We ask that before the event you view the movie, (available from most libraries or on streaming services) while thinking about the discussion questions we will provide. On October 1st at 7:00 pm we’ll all meet via Zoom for a discussion led by museum staff. We will cover themes such as the idea of the West, pop culture, history, and movie-making.
To register, email us at bryan.gonzalez@chisholmtrailmuseum.org
After you register, we will email you the discussion questions and a link to join the virtual discussion via Zoom.
This event is free and open to the public, and space is limited.
